Button Down Purchases Filly at OBS

Button Down Racing purchased a 2-Y-O daughter of Forest Camp at the OBSC auction on April 21 in Ocala, Florida. Bloodstock agent Tim Kegel signed the ticket for BDR, five days after the filly recorded a sizzling eighth-mile move in :09-4/5 in the under-tack show. The dark bay filly is out of No Little Angel, a Lord Carson mare, and is Kentucky-bred.

“Tim really liked the way she was put together and the way she acted in the ring,” said Button Down Racing’s president, Michael Hardesty. “I wasn’t sure we could get her considering the sub-10-second work. That might not translate into a quality racehorse but she has a shot, and I at least know on the morning of her under-tack breeze, she surely had some turn-of-foot. It’ll be fun to see what we can do with her.”

The filly has been named Clockwork Angel and five percent shares are available which include all boarding, training and normal veterinary care until December 31, 2009. Button Down Racing can be contacted by clicking its banner to the right of this posting.
