Dee Tee Stables Lime Rickey To Run At Belmont

Lime Rickey (Lemon Drop Kid) runs Friday in the Grade 3, $100,000 Hill Prince Stakes at Belmont Park. The three-year-old colt breaks from post five in a field of 10 in this one mile turf event. He will be ridden by Javier Castellano and is trained by Frank Alexander. Post time for the race is 5:17. Lime Rickey is 6-1 on the morning line.

A winner last time out in a turf allowance race, Lime Rickey has $163,707 in purse earnings. He’s tallied two wins, four seconds, and three thirds in 11 starts.

Dogwood President Cot Campbell had the following comments on Lime Rickey:

“Lime Rickey seems to be in an advantageous spot in Friday’s Hill Prince. His number five post position will suit his tactics well, and it’s certainly a race that he is capable of winning. He has not been a lucky horse (as is the case with many turf specialists), but the sweeping turns of Belmont should minimize opportunities for bad luck. His jockey Javier Castellano suits him to a tee.
