Has Anyone Bought Into A Percentage Of Ownership In A Thoroughbred Race Horse? What Is Or Was Your Experience?

I am thinking of buying into a 10% ownership/partnership of a 2 yr old about to start training. Is this the way to go, and what are the pros and cons of such an adventure. Are there any reputable breeders/owners you can suggest that have such a program? Thanks in advance.

i have had the opportunity with a very good looking stable. i have been keeping my eye on it and i am not impressed. $72,000 a year for 10% has not been justified as of yet. but as with any venture, you must be prepared to lose money.
the 2 horses i was thinking about have failed to win more than 2 races each and not a lot of purse money. i did meet the trainer and owners a few months ago. they did have a horse in one of the breeders cup races.
i will not release the name in public. if you would like to know the name, please contact me. i would be willing to invest with them in the future if they train a turf only horse. they have not done that as of yet.
