Horseplayers Racing Club, LLC, added the stakes horse Huntersrunaway to their stable recently after purchasing a large interest in the horse privately from owner-trainer Danny Pish.
Huntersrunaway is a gray three-year-old Texas-bred son of graded stakes winner Hollycombe out of the Runaway Groom mare Runaway Nancy. “Hunter” has blossomed in the past few months and ran second in the $125,000 Texas Stallion Stakes two starts back. In his last effort, he came flying late to miss by a head in allowance company against mostly older. With improving form and speed numbers, this stretch runner should have a very productive summer. He’s trained by Pish, one of the top trainers on the Texas circuit and stabled at Lone Star Park. For a short time, HRC will be taking new partners on the horse.
