Little Red Feather’s Saint Isabelle Readies for Del Mar Debut

Saint IsabelleTwo Year Old Saint Isabelle, one of only 150 Saint Liam babies, readied for her much anticipated debut at Del Mar with a 1:01 (5/26) five furlong blowout at Santa Anita on July 18, 2009.

Ridden in the work by regular rider Joe Talamo, Izzy started the work about three lengths behind another Mike Puype trained horse, Secret Lure. They stayed that way until the far turn when Secret Lure drifted out and Izzy came charging through on the inside. Down the lane, Izzy maintained about a length lead and galloped out well ahead of Secret Lure after the wire.

“It was another fantastic work,” exclaimed LRF Managing Partner Billy Koch. “I think she has the makings of a special special horse.”

Izzy will ship to Del Mar before opening day and work six furlongs most likely next Saturday July 25.
