Meetingwithdestiny Wins for Bongo Racing Partnership

Meetingwithdestiny, ridden by Russel Baze, won a nice one mile $33,750 optional claiming race at Solano for his Bongo Racing partnership on Sunday July 26th. Trained by Doug Oneil, Meetingwithdestiny is a 4 year old chestnut gelding, by Belong to Me out of Capricha by Pleasant Colony. He broke in stride but was forced to the four path into the first turn, but settled once on the backstretch and dueled from off the rail. He turned back one bid after another then set down on the second turn, brushed with Chestnut Touch near the furlong pole but continued to respond to strong urging and held on determinedly, winning in the end by 1½ lengths.
