Missy Loves Mambo Wins For West Point

Missy Loves Mambo, a 3 year old bay filly by Peace Rules out of the Kingmambo mare Mambo Mistress, broke her maiden convincingly in just her second career start at Aquaduct yesterday in a 6 furlong maiden special weight. Owned by West Point Thoroughbreds, trained by Kiaran McLaughlin and ridden by Sheldon Russell, the bay filly tracked the leader throughout the race, went 3 wide to challenge turning for home and edged clear to win by 2-3/4 lengths.

For the win, the filly earned $24,600 and ran her career record to a win and a third place finish from just two career starts. She now has over $28,000 in career earnings.
