Mt. Orient Wins For Bongo Racing

Bongo Racing’s Mt. Orient put in a gutsy performacne to win the fourth race at Oaktree on Thursday October 16th, only to be claimed away by Jerry Hollendorfer. The brown four year old gelding, ridden by Garret Gomez and trained Mike Mitchell quarterhorsed out of the starting gate and took an early lead. In the stretch he was headed, but fought back extremely gamely to regain the lead. He prevailed in the end by three-quarters of a length.
