Partnership Wins Barretts Debutante Stakes

Judge Joan, ridden by Aaron Gryder and trained by Jeff Mullins, battled gamely down the short Fairplex straight to win the Barretts Debutante Stakes for two year old fillies on Saturday. The winning purse was $58,520. Bred in California by John D. Murphy, the very attractive bay filly is owned by a collective partnerships of Brewer Racing Stable, Branch, and William and Stanley Don, and the crowd in the winners circle after her success indicated that everyone and their friends and turned up to cheer the filly home.

The partnership purchased Judge Joan (by Chief Seattle out of Exceedtheprospect), at the Barretts May Breeze Up Sale on the advice of former trainer Nick Hines.
