Sea Button Disappoints Again

Button Down Racing’s five-year-old mare, Sea Button, finished fourth in a mile, open claimer at Turfway Park on Feb, 16.

The daughter of Sea Of Secrets set the early pace in heer first two-turn race, opening a lead of seven lengths before giving way at the quarter pole to remain winless in her last six starts.

“We were hoping to get her out front, but she wouldn’t relax for Tommy (rider Pompell),” said BDR racing manager Michael Hardesty. “Her fractions were too quick to hold on against the closers she faced today.”
